Learn proper form, practice increasing and improving running
skills through running practice, run walking, drills,
fundamentals, jumping, hopping and games.
Registration: $10.00; 25% discount for ORC members
(includes all sessions, shirt, snacks, water and RRCA swag)

OVERVIEW

Join the Nebraska Army National Guard in a noncompetitive race to remember those who served our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Free of cost, open to anyone and everyone. Either run, walk, or ruck the course!

The first 200 adult participants to sign up will receive a t-shirt.

The first 100 runners to cross the finish line will receive a medal.

Date: Saturday, May 16th, 2026

Sign-in/Registration: 7:00am until race start time

Race time: 8:00am

A fun 5k near Florence, Nebraska, as part of the “Florence Days” weekend put on every year. The route will start near the OPPD Power Park and then will go along the trails towards the interstate, turn around and go back. This is done in conjunction with Florence Historic and is a non-profit fundraising event.

We are commemorating Foster Care Awareness Month in May.  The organizer, Share My Smile is a 503c organization that is dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive families in the greater Omaha/Council Bluffs area. Funds raised will go to support programs for foster and adoptive families in the area.

The annual Papillion Half Marathon will begin at 7:30am on May 17, 2026, with the 10K and 5K to begin shortly after. Start and Finish will be inside The Papillion Landing Field House.

Omaha Running Club Track Night hosted by Gerald Kubiak

When: Tuesdays Beginning May 5th through October, 2026

Locations:

1. Buena Vista High School, 5616 L Street by the Football Field -(1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month).
2. Elmwood Park (meet on the west side of the pool), -(4th  Tuesday of the month unless otherwise announced).

Time: Warm-ups 5:45PM

Workouts:  6:00PM

Remember:
1. To bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
2. To give yourself plenty of time to make your way to the track.
3. There may be NO RESTROOM ACCESS, so be prepared for that.

If the track is unavailable, we will do a group run.

Organizers of this event holds no liability for injuries sustained during this workout.

Join us for the fifth of a 5-race series or run individual races that will challenge you to conquer Lakes Standing Bear, Cunningham, Flanagan, Walnut Creek and Wehrspann.  Sign up for the series for $125 or individual races for $35 each.  Series finishers will receive a special medal commemorating their accomplishment.  Series races will be held on April 26, May 24, June 21, July 12, and August 2.

Race distances vary by lake and are as follows:

Lake Standing Bear, April 26, 5K

Lake Cunningham, May 24, 10K

Lake Flanagan, June 21, 5 miles

Lake Walnut Creek, July 12, 5K

Lake Wehrspann, August 2, 10K

Results will be age-graded and awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female and 1st place masters male and female.  Age group awards will also be given.

Packet pickup will be held at each lake up to 15 minutes before the start of the race.

Join us for a cross country 5K at beautiful Walnut Grove Park, 15050 Q Street, Omaha, NE, at 7 AM.

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female.  No age group awards will be given. However, prizes will be given for specified finishing places.

Registration ($5) will be held on race evening only from 6:15 AM – 6:45 AM at Walnut Grove Park.

Race packets and shirts can be picked up on the Friday 5/29 before race day from 3-7 p.m. at:

Last minute pickup will be available at each race venue one hour before the races start.

Parking will be available at:

• Hastings Middle School – Half Marathon Start
• Hastings College – Half Marathon Finish / 5K Start & Finish / 1-Mile Fun Run
• Before 6:30am – Transport provided from finish area at Hastings College to starting area at Hastings Middle School
• 9:30am – Noon – Transport provided from finish area at Hastings College to Hastings Middle School

• The awards ceremony will begin at in the stage area near the finish line immediately following each race.
• Awards will be offered in both individual and group categories for all events 5K and higher.
• The top 3 finishers (male and female) in each age division will be awarded (5K and Half Marathon). NOTE – There will be no duplication of awards.
• The top overall finishers (male and female) will be awarded (5K and Half Marathon).
• Half Relay awards TBD.

Breakfast to follow events for all registered participants – Breakfast Burritos!

5K, Half Marathon and Half Relay will be timed electronically by Precision Race Results LLC, Omaha, NE. The 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed.

Get ready to run for a cause! Join us on May 30, 2026, at Stinson Park for the 4th Annual Ava’s Army Color Run. This untimed 5K is built for everyone—from serious runners to families with strollers—who want to get doused in a rainbow of color for a great cause. Once you cross the finish line, the party keeps going with music, Kona Ice, and a massive community celebration.

Most importantly, every registration helps fuel pediatric leukemia research. Come make a mess, make some memories, and help us find a cure—because every child deserves a colorful future.

Norfolk Summer Kickoff Fun Run

Awards for all races to follow boy’s and girl’s 1K.

A concession stand will be available serving hot dogs and hamburgers along with drinks and candy.

Registrations need to be completed before May 20, 2026 in order to guarantee that you will get a t-shirt. All registrations completed after May 20, 2026 does not guarantee that you will receive a t-shirt.
