           Saturday, April 20 from 8:00 am – 11:00 am

              Baxter Arena

Purpose –  Women’s Athletics largest fundraising event / Community Event

• Participant goal – 2500 – 3500 participants this year.
• Registration fee $40 for adults and kids 5-12 years are free.
• 38^th year of the UNO Women’s Walk/Claussen-Leahy Maverick Run
• Goal for 2024 raise $250,000

Events: Estimated start times:  10K & 5K runs, 5K walk, 1-mile kids’ race

• 8:30 am – 1-mile kids race
• 9:00 am – 10K run
• 9:08 am- 5K run  
• 9:12 am – 5K walk

Activities inside Baxter Arena

• 37 booth vendors
• 5 interactive inflatables for kids (with Student athletes interacting with kids)
• Beer Garden (huge hit in past years)
• All UNO Coaches Student Athletes will be there so come out and meet Omaha’s Team!

History on event:
Well a little history of on Run. Connie Claussen – 38 years (1986) ago had an idea, she needed to raise money for women’s athletics here at UNO!   So, she gathered some of her friends and community leaders and started the first UNO Women’s Walk! That first year, Connie raised over $12,000 for women’s athletics. As of today, we
