WHO: YOU! Any age (participants under 13 must be with an adult)
WHAT: 1st Annual Bataan Memorial Death March (14.8 mile course, 2 laps of 7.4 miles around a beautiful lake trail)
WHEN: September 8, 2018 at 0800 (8 a.m.), Divisions will start at 15 minute increments
WHERE: Lake Zorinsky, Omaha, NE. Race start will be near pavilion #5 which is on the south side of the lake by the boat ramp (enter
into park at 156th and F Streets).
WHY: Fundraiser for the Millard South Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps – NE-20161.
COST: $30 prior to the event via Ticketstripe.com /msafjrotcmarch or $35 the day of the March.
*Participants completing the online registration prior to September 1st. will receive a t-shirt and challenge coin the day of the race.
** All others may receive them post-race due to on-hand inventory (all participants will receive both items)
If you would like to donate your unit challenge coin to MSAFJROTC, we will proudly display them the day of the march.
4 Divisions and start times: All individual (1st-3rd place awards for each) – PLEASE arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your division start time to get checked in.
0800 – JROTC – Civilian footwear, shorts and unit t-shirt
0815 – Civilian – comfortable race day attire (individuals representing an organization such as police or fire are encouraged to wear identifying t-shirt)
0830 – Military Light – ACU/OCP/ABUs. LBE w/canteen or Camelbak worn. Unit t-shirt may be worn and uniform tops/headgear may be removed before the March.
0845 – Military Heavy – ACU/OCP/ABUs. 35lb ruck/backpack must be worn (verified). A scale will be available at the race registration area. Please consider filling your pack with non-perishable items such as rice, canned food, pasta, etc. You will be able to donate these items at the finish line. MSHS AFJROTC will donate all items to the Millard South Food Bank on your behalf.
