Registration is now open for Omaha’s HEARTLAND MARATHON on September 26, 2021. If you are interested in accurately measured and clearly marked courses, prompt and accurate results during the race, photos available shortly after you cross the finish line, and race officials and volunteers who really care about your race experience, then we are the race for you. Omaha’s HEARTLAND MARATHON is presented by the Omaha Running Club. It is locally-owned and managed and put on by runners, for runners. The race proceeds go right back to supporting the Omaha running community and to services which also support the running community.

The Omaha Running Club is here year-round supporting the Omaha running community and has over 40 years’ experience putting on successful events, including marathons. We hope you will give us a chance to demonstrate we are the best choice for your fall marathon, marathon relay, half marathon or 10K!

Refund policy: Due to COVID-19 pandemic uncertainties, we have adopted the following refund policy if the race is cancelled before August 3, 2021:

For registrations prior to 4/6/2021 – 100% excluding processing fees
For registrations prior to 6/8/2021 – 50% excluding processing fees
For registrations prior to 8/3/2021 – 30% excluding processing fees

No refunds will be offered for registrations on or after 8/3/2021 and refunds, less the processing fee, would be issued subsequent to 8/3/2021, if applicable. Virtual race and deferment options will be determined and may be offered in lieu of refunds in the event the race is cancelled due to official COVID-19 restrictions on or after August 3, 2021.

Packet pickup is Saturday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Courtyard by Marriott Omaha Downtown/Old Market, 101 S 10th St, Omaha, NE 68102

Parking and Race Course

Access to parking and the race course is from Abbott Drive, as Riverfront Drive is closed from the south.  Parking will be available in designated lots at River City Star, 151 Freedom Park Road, Omaha, NE, and on the Gallup Riverfront Campus, 1001 Gallup Drive, Omaha, NE, both of which are close to the start/finish area.  Please look for signs identifying the designated parking areas.
