In-person 10K/5K run and walk registration

Race day at Baxter Arena

In-person Stampede 10K, Claussen 5K Run and Leahy 5K walk
Starting time is 9 a.m. at Baxter Arena, located at 2425 S. 67th Street. Support the Omaha Athletic Department by running or walking in either the 10K, 5K events. Both the Stampede 10K and Claussen 5K runs will be chip-timed, and winners will be based on the participant’s official race time. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. Course maps will be sent out to all participants and posted online in February 2022. Runners must be pre-registered there will be no day of register permitted day of the event. Runners that pre-register will be guaranteed a t-shirt, timing chip and bib.

 

Virtual 5K Runs

Times must be submitted by 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Cost: $40 – Adults; $10 – Kids if requesting t-shirt and race bib

Registration includes t-shirt and race bib (must be registered by April 5 to guarantee t-shirt and race packet mailing)

Virtual Run/Walk
Simply register, complete the distance anytime and anywhere you desire (even a treadmill) and upload your finish time. You must be registered online for the Virtual Run by Monday, April 5 to receive a t-shirt and race bib via mail prior to the actual run-on Saturday, April 24. If registering after April 5 you will receive a t-shirt and race bib, but we cannot guarantee you will receive it prior race day. Your virtual run may commence starting Monday, April 19, and all times must be submitted by Noon CST on Saturday, April 24.

We accept results on the honor system, so you can track your distance and times however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a running GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available for iPhones and Android devises that you may be interested or already have. Times submitted are on the honor system, and if you choose to walk virtually you may do so as well. Set a goal – whatever it may be and go out and accomplish it! If that means take a break, run some walk some so be it. Just track your distance, time each day and enter your total time after you have competed the total distance.

Kids’ Virtual 1-Mile Run
Registration is free for children ages 5-12 years in the 1-mile kids’ race. A $10 fee for shipping will be applicable at time of registration if requesting a t-shirt and race packet with registration.  Registration must be completed by April 5 to guarantee race packet arrives prior to April 24.

In-Person 1-Mile KIDS’ RACE
Free Registration for kids ages 5-12 years in the 1-Mile Kids’ Race/Kids’ Activities. (Registration includes

t-shirt, race bib and admission to Kids’ Activities)

• Race starting time is 8:30 a.m. at Baxter Arena, located at 2425 S. 67th Street.
• Race will be 1-Mile, starting line will be in Lot 25 located directly in front of Baxter Arena.
• Children from 5 to 12 years of age are welcome to participate in the IN-Person Kids’ Race and Activities.
UNO student-athletes will assist with after race activities inside the Baxter Arena.

KIDS’ ZONE ACTIVITIES
In conjunction with the Kids’ Race, UNO will host a variety of kids’ activities inside Baxter Arena.  The activities will begin at approximately 8:45 a.m. The activities will be hosted by various UNO teams, and kids will interact with Maverick student-athletes. Participation is free to children who have registered for the Kids’ Race. Children who have not pre-registered for the Kids’ Race may do so at the registration table the day of the event but will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. The event will be held rain or shine.  Activities will include but are not limited to inflatable obstacle courses, slam-dunk, batting cage, and many interactive inflatables.

*All kids and their parent or guardians must be wrist-banded for security purposes for after race activities. Kids may obtain a wrist band day of race located inside Baxter Arena.  Kids ages 5-12 years pre- registering for 1-Mile Kids’ Race/Kids’ Activities will are free. (Each pre-registered child will receive a t-shirt and race bib and wristband inside race packets.)
