The Charleston’s Classic is a 5k run/walk and 1-mile fun run benefiting Food Bank for the Heartland. All race participants will receive an event t-shirt (must be registered by 10/30 to guarantee a shirt), a timed run to end the running season, a ticket to a delicious post-race party with food and beverages provided by Charleston’s, a little Charleston’s swag and a medal for finishing the run.
The race will be held on the Keystone Trail on Saturday, November 2; kicking off at 9am at Smitty’s Garage on 76th at Dodge. The cost is $30 per person.
We’ve got some great prizes for those running! These include:
- The top overall male and female finishers of the 5k will each receive a $100 gift cards from Mahogany, a run nebraska short-sleeved t-shirt (www.run-ne.com/shop)
- 2nd place male and female finishers of the 5k will receive $50 gift cards from Charleston’s
- 3rd place male and female finishers of the 5k will receive a $20 gift card to Smitty’s Garage
- Each age group winner will also receive a prize (overall top 3 will be excluded from age group awards)
Once registered, each participant will be entered into a weekly drawing beginning on Saturday, October 12th to join the Charleston’s crew in a suite at the UNO volleyball game at Baxter Arena the evening before the race (Friday, November 1st).
Packet pick-up will be at Charleston’s (76th & Dodge location) on Friday, 11/1 from 5-7 pm. If you can’t make that, you can still pick up your stuff the morning of the race.
