TIPS FOR RUNNING A MARATHON OR HALF MARATHON

SPECIAL GUEST 2021 ORC HALL OF FAME RECIPIENT JOHN FEY at the Peak Performance on 78th and Cass Street.

 This workshop is free and is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about running marathons and half marathons.

You will hear lessons and tips from ORC Hall of Fame runner John Fey, who will share his experiences, lessons and tips. You will also get technical tips on pacing, hydration, etc. Other experienced runners will be there to share their tips. Coaching tips will be provided too.  Bring your questions.

Presented by ORC member Pam Car, who holds an RRCA Level 2 certification in adult distance running, youth performance running and USATF/NFHS coaching certification in both track and cross country.

Topics for this one-hour workshop include topics such as:  preparing for the race, pacing strategies, hydration, and training for distance races, including marathons and half marathons.

Optional group run or run/walk afterwards.
