Event Details

CASA for Douglas County (http://www.casaomaha.org/) is pleased to host its 9th Annual 5K Superhero Run on Saturday, August 24th at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village, Omaha!

This run is an effort to raise awareness about youth in foster care and how CASA (which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates) is the voice for abused and neglected children through community volunteers.

The 5k Superhero Run is a family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. Not only is there a scenic 5k that is open to all, but you’ll also get to meet leagues of superheroes at the post-race party that will run until 3:00 pm!

Included in your registration is breakfast from the Pancake Man and access to the post-race fesitval*. Additional breakfast tickets can be purchased for friends/family at the event or through the registration process. Race tees are also available as an add-on and can be purchased at the event for $15. Superhero capes (you’ll want one of these!) will be available at the event for $5. Each participant will also receive a chip-timed race, finish line photography, on-course photography and much more!

Once you’re finished with the race, stick around for a full day of festivities including:

  • Breakfast from the Pancake Man!
  • Superheroes live and in-person for all to meet
  • Food and goods vendors
  • Carnival games
  • Live music featuring Jocelyn, High Heel and Blues Ed
  • A beer tent
  • Classic cars

All registrations are final and the race will be held rain or shine, unless it is determined by the Race Organizers that it is unsafe or logistically impractical to hold the event. All proceeds help CASA for Douglas County achieve its vision of providing a CASA Volunteer to every child in foster care who needs one.

*Games, vendor goods/services, beer are available for an additional charge.
