Hit the trails at Camp Cornhusker for an exciting day of trail running through rolling hills and wooded terrain. This course is designed to challenge seasoned trail runners while remaining welcoming to first-timers, walkers, and families looking for a fun outdoor activity.

All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, custom medal, and race packet.

Race Times:

– Half Marathon — 7:30 AM (check-in at 7:00 AM)

– 10K — 7:30 AM (check-in at 7:00 AM)

– 5K — 8:00 AM (check-in at 7:30 AM)

– 1-Mile Fun Run — 8:00 AM (check-in at 7:30 AM)

Pricing:

– Half Marathon — $55

– 10K — $45

– 5K — $35

– 1-Mile Fun Run — $15

Overnight Accommodations Available:

Cabins with electricity, A/C, and 4 beds available for $35/night. Tent camping available for $15 with restrooms on site. Evening meal and morning breakfast included with your stay.

Family activities follow the event. Free parking available.

Open to the public — runners and walkers of all ages and abilities welcome.

Hosted by Cornhusker Council, Boy Scouts of America.

The Nebraska State Fair Marathon is back for its 12th year on Saturday, August 29, 2026!

No need to be a marathon runner; there is a race distance for everyone in the family! Options include the Marathon, a Half-Marathon, Marathon Relay, 5K, 1-Mile Kid Run, Push Rim Wheelchair, and Handcycle.

All races will start and finish on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island, Nebraska, with a post-race celebration amidst the fair festivities.
