5K for Fayez is a fundraising and advocacy event put on by the Dear Dunya Nonprofit Organization. Fayez is the 9-year-old boy who was left orphaned in Ontario after his family was killed in a terrorist attack while out on a walk. His mother, father, sister, and grandmother were declared dead at the scene of the accident, leaving Fayez orphaned and in critical condition. All of the money raised will go directly towards paying for Fayez’s medical bills, schooling, and other expenses in order to ensure he is financially supported for the rest of his life.
