in a world filled with over 7.7 billion people, how can you feel alone? today’s event shows us how the impossible can become possible. just because you may be physically alone or separated, there as rich and vibrant community always there to support you.we want to tap into that community, and bring runners, separated by physical barriers, back together. while we may have to maintain a physical distance, we can strive to be more socially connected than ever.

we may be alone, but we’re alone together.

WHAT IS  A VIRTUAL RUN?

A VIRTUAL RUN IS A SELF-MANAGED, SELF-PACED, ON-DEMAND RACE. WE PROVIDE THE RESOURCES, THE COMMUNITY, AND THE SWAG – YOU PROVIDE YOUR AMAZING SELF, AND YOUR BLISTERING 5K TIME.

USING A SMART DEVICE, YOU WILL SUBMIT YOUR TIME TO OUR VIRTUAL RACE PLATFORM. WE DO HAVE SOME RULES OF THE ROAD TO ABIDE TO, IN ORDER TO CREATE A COMPETITIVE AND FAIR EVENT. YOUR TIME WILL BE LOGGED AGAINST YOUR FELLOW RUNNERS, IN A TRULY UNIQUE EVENT.

the idea for this race was born out of a necessity for the times. as a small business, we have felt every bit of the economic impact as others out there. the running community is in our blood, and we’re dying for a way to reach out and connect.

this race is more than just a quick way to make a dime. our goal is to take the “virtual race” concept, and give it all the trimmings that a in-person race provides.

utilizing social media (facebook, strava, twitter, and instagram) our goal is to bring the running community along on your 5K. we will provide exclusive interactive podcasts for your run; custom race day playlists via spotify; and live, interactive events using facebook.

WHAT YOU GET

while floods, plagues, and hordes of locusts might make it feel like the apocalypse; we haven’t gone full savage yet. we don’t want to suffocate you with rules, but we do want to ensure a safe, fun, and fair race.
