The Cannon Fire 5K will be hosted by Anytime Fitness Elkhorn at the beautiful Fort Atkinson state historical park in Fort Calhoun.
This 5K will include t-shirts and finisher medals for all participants if signed up by July 1st! We will order a few extras, but no guarantees if not registered early enough. It takes time to have the medals produced and shipped to us.
The course will cover the trails and roads through the state park, as well as an out and back along a local run path. The course will include mowed fields, limestone roadway, and paved roads.
Race Date: Saturday, August 17th
Race Start Time: 9:00 AM
Expect a hill on the course, gravel and paved paths, mowed grass portions of the course across the prairie, post-race drinks and snacks, and a FUN atmosphere as Anytime Fitness Elkhorn heads to the fort to bring you 3.1 miles of a rocking good time.
Packet pick-up is at Anytime Fitness Elkhorn (204th and Maple) on Friday, August 16th: 2- 6 pm.
Day of race packet pick-up is at the start/finish line at Fort Atkinson on, Saturday, August 17th: 7:30-8:45 am (prior to the race).
A park permit will be needed to gain entry into Fort Atkinson. These can be purchased ahead of time, online at outdoorneb.gov or the day of the event at the park entrance. Park permits are $6 (in state) or $8 (out of state).
