TNT Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, including youth and adults, as well as parents/guardians, volunteers, staff, and spectators. We aim to create a fun, safe, and respectful environment for all ages
• This event takes place on a public track or park—treat the space with care.
• Do not litter—use designated trash and recycling bins.
• Do not damage track equipment or facilities (e.g. benches, signs, hurdles).
• Be mindful of others who may be using the field or track during the event.

• Follow instructions from event staff, volunteers, and emergency responders.
• Stay in designated areas and off restricted or unsafe zones.
• Report injuries, hazards, or concerning behavior to an event official right away.
• Youth under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or guardian at all times.

• Runners should do their best to run single file, allowing faster runners to pass on the outside.
• Pass with care, preferably on the right, and politely announce yourself (“Passing on your right!”).
• Walkers use the outer lanes.
• Keep movements predictable. Avoid stopping or turning abruptly.
• Be aware of your surroundings
o If using headphones (keep volume low or use only one earbud).
o Watch for balls or others moving within the running areas.

• Bullying, Harassment, and Stalking OF ANY KIND will not be tolerated—this includes, but is not limited to, online behavior, in public areas, at common workouts, at races or sporting events, and frivolous litigation.
• Do not send unwanted texts/direct messages to others in this group.
• Do not make unwanted calls to others in this group.
• Be kind, supportive, and respectful to everyone, regardless of age, background, or ability.
• Celebrate effort, not just athleticism. Encouragement goes a long way, especially for youth or first-timers!

• Parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and behavior of their children.
• Youth participants should listen to volunteers and follow safety rules.
• Encourage kids to participate positively. No pushing, name-calling, or rough play.
• Adults should model good sportsmanship and respectful behavior.
• Adults should limit communication with anyone under 19 years of age to workout related subject matter only.
6. Avoid controversial topics such as:
1. Politics
• Political party affiliations, candidates, or elections
• Government criticism or conspiracy theories
• Heated policy debates (e.g., immigration, taxation, gun laws)
2. Religion
• Doctrinal beliefs or preaching
• Religious superiority or conversion efforts
• Criticism or mockery of other faiths or atheism
3. Sexual Content
• Explicit jokes, innuendos, or stories
• Discussions of sexual behavior or preferences
• Pornography or adult entertainment
4. Race and Ethnicity
• Racial stereotypes, slurs, or jokes
• Generalizations about cultural groups
• Debates over systemic racism or cultural appropriation
5. Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation
• Negative or dismissive remarks about LGBTQ+ individuals
• Debates about gender roles or identities
• “Jokes” or commentary about pronouns or transitioning
6. Appearance or Body Image
• Negative comments about weight, body shape, or clothing
• "Before and after" body comparisons
• Unsolicited health or fitness advice
7. Parenting and Family Choices
• Criticizing how others raise their children
• Commentary on breastfeeding, discipline, or education choices
• Infertility, adoption, or pregnancy loss
8. Substance Use
• Personal drug or alcohol use stories
• Promotion of illegal substances
• Judging others’ choices regarding sobriety
9. Medical Conditions or Disabilities
• Unsolicited advice about health
• Invasive questions about someone’s condition
• Making jokes or assumptions about mental health or disability

Personal Conduct
• Only participate if you are in good health and able to run or walk safely.
• Stay hydrated and dress appropriately for the weather.
• Use sunscreen as necessary.
• Alcohol, tobacco, and drug use are not permitted at the event.
• Secure valuables—organizers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Photography & Privacy
• Photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotion and memories.
• If you do not wish yourself or your child to appear in media, notify staff in advance.
• Unauthorized drone use is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

10.
Consequences for Misconduct
• Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may lead to:
o Verbal warning
o Removal from the event
o Report to appropriate authorities (if necessary)
• Parents/guardians may be contacted or required to remove youth who violate the code.
• Permanent removal from the group is at the sole discretion of the workout facilitator for any identified violation of the TNT Code of Conduct.
