Event Postponed due to COVID-19

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to postpone our Steps for STEM 5K until Saturday, 29 May 2021. It has been extremely difficult to make this decision, but we need to distance our on-site event from the Coronavirus as much as possible to help ensure everyone’s safety. It is our hope a run in May will not be hindered by constraints and the cloud of the Coronavirus, creating a more enjoyable experience for all participants.

For anyone who is currently registered, you have the option to…
1) Request your entrance fee be refunded, or
2) Stay the course and plan to participate in our run on 29 May 21 at Walnut Creek Park.

If you desire your entrance fee, please send a note to funrun@omaha.afceachapters.org. For everyone else, your registration will automatically be moved to the new date.

We highly encourage you to tell family and friends about this worthwhile event. Not only will it be stimulating to experience Walnut Creek Park this time of the morning, but there are physical and mental health benefits that can be achieved from running or walking briskly. You’re investing in yourself while supporting a noteworthy cause.

The 5^th Greater Omaha Chapter (GOC) of AFCEA Steps for STEM 5K is designed to be an uplifting, family-oriented, community event, benefiting the GOC’s STEM Scholarship and Grant Fund.  Our chapter has about 250 members and serves the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area to include Offutt Air Force Base and part of Western Iowa.  This race will be timed by Precision Race Results.  For more information, please visit omaha.afceachapters.org/.

Join us, participants and spectators alike, on this promising June morning to take part in this run/walk!  All events will take place at scenic Walnut Creek Park in Papillion Nebraska with both the start and finish lines just off the circle on Gold Coast Road.
