The Siena/Francis House Homeless Shelter’s 25th Annual Walk/Run is set for 9 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village. This annual fundraising event will attract up to 400 runners and walkers for our two events, a 5K Run and 5K Walk. For the 5K Run, awards will be given to the overall male and female winners and the Master’s Division (over age 40), as well as to the top three finishers in 12 age-group categories.
An online Walk/Run information, registration and payment option is available on the Siena/Francis House’s website at http://www.sienafrancis.org, and clicking on the Walk/Run information tab under New & Events.
Online registration ends at 7:59 am on Thursday, September 5, although you can register, in person, at Peak Performance or at the race site (information detailed, below).
Walk/Run registrants may pick up their event bibs and swag bags at Peak Performance – 519 North 78th Street (just north of 78th & Cass Streets) – from 4-8 pm on Thursday, September 5 OR from 4-6 pm on Friday, September 6 OR from 8:15-8:45 a.m. on the day of the race, Saturday, September 7 at the race site at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village. Walk/Run registration will also be available at Peak Performance and at the race site during the same timeframe(s). PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL WALK/RUN T-SHIRTS WILL BE HANDED OUT TO EVENT REGISTRANTS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 – AT STINSON PARK IN AKSARBEN VILLAGE. NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE HANDED OUT AT PEAK PERFORMANCE ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 OR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, ALTHOUGH PARTICIPANTS MAY STILL PICK UP THEIR EVENT BIBS AND SWAG BAGS AT PEAK PERFORMANCE ON THOSE DAYS.
Walk/Run registration is also possible by downloading the PDF registration form, which is also on our website. This completed Walk/Run registration form and payment (check or cash) can be mailed to the Siena/Francis House at: P.O. Box 217 – Omaha, NE 68101.
Registration costs are:
• $30 through Friday, September 6
• $40 on the day of the Walk/Run, Saturday, September 7
Registration fees include one Walk/Run event participation, a Walk/Run t-shirt, entertainment and a variety of refreshments.
All proceeds from the Walk/Run will benefit the Siena/Francis House, Nebraska’s largest homeless shelter – serving individuals experiencing homelessness – located at 1702 Nicholas Street in north downtown Omaha, Nebraska.
