The John C. Fremont Days Ridge Road Run & Corporate Challenge enters its 33rd year in 2021!

After taking 2020 off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re ready to roll (or run?) again in 2021 with some enhancements and changes to the event!

We host a 2 mile and 5 mile road race on a pancake flat course, starting at Christensen Field in Fremont. This is a chip-timed event that is open to all ages and abilities put on by runners, for runners.

**NEW for 2021!
We have an UPDATED 5- MILE ROUTE! The 2021 race will take our 2-milers along the same course, beginning at Christensen Field, along the roads next to the industrial park, looping back to the finish line. The 5-milers will start the same way as always, heading out of the Christensen Field complex, heading West and North to complete only one loop around the industrial park instead of two! Runners will then head back towards Christensen Field, only to continue South on Ridge Road before completing a shaded loop through the neighborhood. The 5-milers will then head back to the complex and finish.

What you get
We offer t-shirts for all participants (sizes not guaranteed for those who register after 6/26), medals to the top male/female finishers in each age group for each distance, as well as the top 3 male/female overall finishers. We also offer both on-course and finish line photography and race swag for each participant.

Corporate Challenge
Back again is the Corporate Challenge! This is specifically for any business/organization to compete for the John C. Fremont Cup – a 2 foot tall trophy with the winning business/organization’s name engraved on the side! To be eligible, a company must have a minimum of 3 finishers in the 5 mile race, with at least 1 female finisher. The top 3 finishers (including 1 female) will be scored based on their averaging finishing times. The fastest average finish time gets the Cup! All registrations are final and the race will be held rain or shine, unless it is determined by the Race Organizers that it is unsafe or logistically impractical to hold the event. All proceeds will benefit the John C. Fremont Days Foundation and there will be no refunds.
