Join us for FreedomFest IV, presented by Miles for Heroes, on Saturday, May 30th in historic downtown Scribner. All proceeds will support Miles for Heroes, a Nebraska nonprofit organization aimed to help Veterans combat PTSD and find a passion in the outdoors.

Miles for Heroes gives everyone in the community the chance to participate alongside fellow runners, veterans and active duty servicemen and women through a 5k fun run or walk. Each runner gets a race tee (guaranteed if registered by May 22), a M4H wristband, post-race food and drink, a super fun time honoring those that serve and have served and eligibility for awards! While race day registration is accepted, we encourage you to sign up early to guarantee your entry and swag. We timed this race last year and it was one of the best ones we’ve been a part of so far – you don’t want to miss this!

New to this year’s race is the Virtual 5k! While we’d love everyone there to run with us in-person, we know that many people who’d love to support this great cause live from coast-to-coast. So now anyone can participate virtually! Simply register for the Virtual 5k and send us a pic of your 5k run (either from your GPS watch or running app) any time between May 25th and May 31st and you’ll be able to receive your awesome Miles for Heroes tee (if registered by May 13th) and say you participated in this great event. Virtual runners, however, will not be eligible for awards.

Following the race, you can stick around to participate in the Poker Run, and come back at 7 pm for a concert featuring the Dylan Bloom Band and Shenandoah, and party while we rock the streets of downtown Scribner (concert tickets not included in registration).

Check in and same day registration will take place from 6:30-7:45 a.m. on race day.  This is a RAIN OR SHINE event.  Please be conscious of the weather and dress appropriately.  No refunds will be offered for lack of participation due to inclement weather. Children and families are encouraged to participate!

All registrations are final and the race will be held rain or shine, unless it is determined by the Race Organizers that it is unsafe or logistically impractical to hold the event. All proceeds will be given to Miles for Heroes and there will be no refunds.
