Event Details

The ninth annual Logan View Raider Run will take place on Saturday August 22nd, 2020, offering a 5k, half marathon, marathon and 50k!

The Logan View Education Foundation is again excited to be sponsoring this event. Each year we learn a few more things and receive feedback from our runners that has allowed us to grow this into a first class event with participants from all over the United States and beyond. For the third year now, all of our races will be starting on Saturday evening. You can still be assured that it is a run in the country with beautiful scenery compliments of the Elkhorn and Logan Valley. You will be greeted by rolling hills and corn fields dotted with farms and acreages. Running along the ridge of the picturesque view of the Elkhorn Valley you will be able to see the towns of Hooper, Scribner and Uehling. Additionally, runners will receive chip-timed results, on-course and finish line photography (lighting and weather permitting) and much more!

This will not be a flat, fast course. There are some challenging hills! While this won’t be a “big city” race, it will have something even better – small town hospitality!! Logan View Public Schools is a progressive school that combines several communities together in a country setting. The run is being organized by experienced runners that are trying to combine the best of all races in one. Don’t expect lots of spectators in the country, but the race will be a well supported, well organized run, with plenty of amenities. You will experience hassle-free packet pick-up, convenient parking, on-site showers for post-race use, delicious post race food, and plenty of hard-working Logan View students who will be helping to make this a race you won’t soon forget!

Proceeds from this event support the many student organizations that work at the event and also benefit scholarship programs supported by the Logan View Education Foundation. Any organization at Logan View that would like to receive funds from this event will have to work at it by manning the aid stations, pre-race, post-race, pork sandwich supper, etc. Organizations that could benefit would be any class (Senior, Junior, Sophomore, or Freshman), Close-Up, Band, National Honor Society, FFA, FCCLA, cheerleaders/dance team, Science Club, Drama Club, Letter Club, or any sports team.

For more details, please visit www.loganviewmarathon.com and you’ll find answers to everything you could imagine!

Plan on participating in our event and join in the tradition! This is a race you don’t want to miss!

All registrations are final and the race will be held rain or shine, unless it is determined by the Race Organizers that it is unsafe or logistically impractical to hold the event. All proceeds will benefit the Logan View Education Foundation and there will be no refunds.
