Past years have drawn over 500 participants to honor loved ones who died in traffic incidents. The t-shirts for the event bear the names of loved ones whose families have asked that we include them in this way. Several families have noted that what is special for them is that this is the only event in which they have participated that is focused on support of families whose loved ones died in traffic incidents. The run-walk has three goals:

1. To bring together family and friends of loved ones who have died in traffic incidents to remember and celebrate the life and love they shared, and continue to share, with all touched by their lives.

2. To raise funds to support the mission of Keep Kids Alive Drive 25^®, which includes our “Live Forward!” initiative that supports families in creating legacies in honor of loved ones who have died in traffic incidents.

3. To remind us all of the kinds of behaviors we need to practice behind the wheel in order to keep ourselves and others safe on and along roadways.

Pizza Party follows the event along with activities from the Southwest YMCA – bounce house, Nebraska State Patrol, Werner Trucking, a raffle, and much more.
