Gene Herbek, MD, FCAP, was a respected pathologist at Methodist Hospital for nearly 20 years as well as a beloved husband, father and friend. His passing in 2020 was a tremendous loss for his loved ones, patients and colleagues.
Together with Dr. Herbek’s family, we are proud to partner with Methodist Hospital and the CAP Foundation to present the Herbek Hustle 5K Memorial Fun Run on June 19, 2021. All proceeds raised will benefit the See, Test & Treat program and the Drs. Jerry Schenken and Gene Herbek MLS Student Program Fund. We hope you’ll join us – rain or shine – in honoring and celebrating the legacy of our friend Dr. Herbek.
This 5K event starts at Omaha’s Lake Zorinsky Boat Ramp Entrance, Picnic Area #5 (156th & F St). It is an out and back course.
Event Check-In is from 7 to 8:45 a.m. Day of registration allowed until 8:45 a.m. Early-bird registration (through May 16): $30. Registration after May 16: $40. Registration includes a t-shirt, finisher’s pin, pancake breakfast, doughnuts & refreshments. Pancake breakfast can be purchased for $5 for those not participating in the event. Volunteers welcome.
