Take off on Saturday, September 20th, for the 2025 5K on the Runway at the Hastings Airport! Coordinated by Hastings Parks & Recreation and benefiting the Hastings Airport Association, this unique event will give runners an up-close look at our local airport, all while having fun and supporting a great organization.

At 8:00am, join other runners on a route along the Hastings Airport main runway and taxiway, as well as the secondary runway. The course will run past the main airport apron that will have airplanes to view, and the event will begin and end on the 99’s Compass Rose on the terminal ramp! A portion of registration proceeds will benefit the Hastings Airport Association:

The Hastings Airport Association encompasses all of the businesses and tenants on the field. They promote and advocate for our aviation community in Hastings. Proceeds from this event will also be used to fund the 2027 Nebraska State Fly-In and Airshow that the Hastings Airport will be hosting.

Date and Location:

Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Hastings Airport, 3106 West 12th Street.

The 5K run will begin at 8:00am.

The 5K run registration fee is $35 until August 22nd, 2025, and $45 afterwards.

Register by September 10th to guarantee your shirt size. We will order extras but will be at a first come, first pick basis.

Shirts are while supplies last, and after September 10th, shirts cannot be guaranteed.

Last Minute Registration:

If you decide to join the fun at the last minute, your very last opportunity to do so will be at Packet Pick-Up at the Hastings Community Center on Friday, September 19th, from 8:00am-7:00pm. No registrations will be allowed on Saturday, September 20th.

Awards:

First place medals will be given to winners in each age bracket who have participated in the 5K run. Age Groups (1st male and female in each group):

1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99

Results and Timing:

Timing will be provided by Precision Race Results.

Please note: ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE

Race Day:

There will be no cancellations for inclement weather. We will delay the start if there is lightning within eight miles of the Airport.
