Join BIA-NE for the Blazing Trails for Brain Injury 5K Run / 1-Mile Walk & Roll, hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Nebraska! Whether you’re sprinting toward a PR or strolling with friends and family, this all-abilities, family-friendly event is your chance to break a sweat, make memories, and make a difference.

The 5K will be professionally timed by Peak Performance: The Running Store—perfect for those chasing their next race qualification. Not a runner? No problem! Our 1-Mile Walk/Roll is all about community, connection, and celebration. Expect plenty of water, snacks, and good vibes at every turn.

About: a powerful morning of movement, memory and community as we honor Andrew “Drew” Valenta –Â devoted husband, father, coach, athlete, and friend.
Proceeds support scholarships for local youth pursuing sports, leadership and personal growth opportunities.
Drew believed in showing up – for his family, for his athletes, and for his community. whether you’re racing for a PR, walking with friends, or cheering from the sidelines, this event celebrates the spirit he lived every day.
