Please join us for the Greater Omaha Chapter’s (GOC) 8th 5K Run/Walk to bolster our scholarship & grants program and promote health, wellness and camaraderie by having a friendly competition among chapter members, chapter supporters, and anyone else who is interested. That’s right, being a member of AFCEA is not a prerequisite for participating, so feel free to bring your friends along!!
The GOC is anticipating a good turnout for this year’s event. Runners will be officially timed by Precision Race Results. Runners and followers will be able to review results online as soon as they are posted. Runners will also receive a result email the afternoon of the race. All ages and athletic abilities are welcome, so please join us on 25 May!
The event will occur at Papillion’s Walnut Creek running trail. It may provide some challenges since it’s not a flat track, but the view around the track will be scenic.

Join us for the upcoming AEU Forge Ahead 5K, slated for June 8, 2023! June marks PTSD Awareness Month, and At Ease USA is excited to organize this event to raise awareness about the impact of PTSD, combat the stigma surrounding trauma, and ensure that individuals grappling with invisible wounds know they’re not alone.
Since 2009, AEU has provided evidence-based trauma relief to current and former military members and their families. Through programs like Vets4Vets, we foster peer support networks, empowering veterans affected by PTSD to support one another. Recognizing the need to extend our support, in 2021 we began offering therapy to frontline healthcare workers, expanding our reach to medical heroes.
As AEU continues to expand its services, we take pride in the quality of support we offer to our military and medical heroes in Nebraska and western Iowa. Join us for a morning of fun and community engagement, where medals will be awarded to first, second, and third-place winners. Families, runners, walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike are encouraged to participate as we come together to support the vital work of At Ease USA and honor our military and medical heroes!
